

Rebecca Riggs-Bennett
Rebecca Riggs-Bennett is a Booloo (Perth) based sound artist, sound designer and electronica music producer. Her practice is interdisciplinary, branching between performance and installation. She considers sound to be a dramaturgical tool and creates using field recordings, audio interviews, archival audio and composed electronica. Rebecca has presented work, worked on projects and taken up residencies/labs with Perth Institute of Contemporary Art, Perth Festival, The Blue Room Theatre, pvi collective, Arts House, Cool Change Contemporary, WA Youth Theatre Company, Riptide Youth Theatre Company, Crack Theatre Festival and Glastonbury Festival. Rebecca is currently studying at Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

Michelle Nguyen
Michelle Nguyen is a Melbourne-based sound artist creating works that range from experimental sound design through to dance music and installations. With a focus on computer music, Michelle has performed at Hibernation Noise Massive Festival, Make It Up Club events, and has had electroacoustic work presented in sound galleries at Tilde New Music and Sound Art Festival and BIFEM. They have also built interactive A/V installations for many nightclub events and outdoor music festivals. After completing a Bachelor of Music with Honours (Composition) in 2018, Michelle has since been writing electronic music and incorporating elements of ambient, psychedelic, experimental, and noise music to create their soundscapes.

Mara Erin Staller
Mara Erin Staller is a 23 year old performer and sound artist based in Melbourne. Her work explores queerness, communal space, cybernetics, and self-perception. Her primary instrument is her laptop, through which she runs the livecoding program Tidalcycles, communicates with audiences via on-screen text, and projects media. She has performed across Melbourne, including at The Tote Hotel, The Evelyn Hotel, Crazy Arms, Nighthawks, and Gallery 17. She has also performed digitally with the Vapornein artist’s collective. She was booked to perform at The Gasometer, The Night Heron, and Liquid Architecture’s “Collective-Kolektif” event at Collingwood Yards, before these events were cancelled due to the global pandemic

Leena Luu
Leena Luu is a Melbourne based artist who is interested in concepts of freedom, movement and dissecting the emotive states through an ontological lens. Leena experiments with these themes through the mediums of sculpture, film, textiles and installation to consider the visualization of the uniqueness of the universal experience. She is currently finishing her secondary education at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School and has recently exhibited work at MUMA in the ‘Group;Effort’ group show and the @Vcaartspace Instagram as a part of the ‘VCASS Takeover’.

Lazar Feldman
Lazar Feldman is an emerging Melbourne based artist who works across performance, video and photography. Through these mediums he explores the themes of human rights, the politics of body and the documentation of personal identity. He is interested in the relationship between performance and visual art as a way of storytelling. Lazar is currently completing his VCE and in 2019 he toured Europe performing in ‘We All Know What’s Happening’ (dir. Samara Hersh and Lara Thoms) performing at Theatre Spektakel in Zurich and Noorderzon Festival in Groningen. This year, Lazar has performed remotely for audiences in Europe and Australia in the show ‘Body of Knowledge’ (dir. Samara Hersh). Lazar has recently been included in the Glen Eira Youth Arts Awards 2020 and the exhibition Picturing Footscray 2020.

Kim Le is a sound artist and musician, with a history of work in Vietnamese fusion music, classically trained in piano performance and proficient at traditional Vietnamese instruments such as the dan tranh, dan bau and war drums. In recent years, they have begun to dabble in contemporary classical composition as well as sound design and experimental soundscape pieces. They are interested in working at the intersection of musical cultures and experimenting further with electro-acoustic techniques.

Grace Quiason
Grace is a Melbourne-based emerging videomaker and director, who recently completed graduate study in Screen and Cultural Studies at The University of Melbourne. Her interest in film also extends to academic writing, editing, scriptwriting, and crewing on student productions. Grace is currently interested in working with image making through analogue processes, in photography and filmmaking. A focus of her work is engaged through the concepts of mythic structure and characterisation, remix and glitch, and collage. Her past work includes a documentary on the fashion industry in Melbourne, and an episode directed for Channel 31.

Bianca Billy Raffin is an Argentinian-Australian artist based in Melbourne. At the heart of her practice is a curiosity for observing narratives. Bianca Billy interrogates playful representations of the mundane, transforming simple interactions into thoughtful articulations. She works across video, illustration, and music; music, in particular, has captured her imagination for the better part of 10 years, where Bianca has played drums for a range of Melbourne bands.
